Corruption Perceptions Index: Executive Summary

The 2018 Corruption Perceptions Index measures the perceived levels of public sector corruption in 180 countries and territories. It reveals that Asia-Pacific region is stagnating in the fight against corruption.The prevalence of weak democratic institutions, and a lack of laws and enforcement mechanisms are contributing to higher rates of corruption in the region. The region is also highly diverse in its anti-corruption approach.
