September 4-6, 2018

The Network convened a Knowledge Sharing Conference in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in September, hosted with the support of the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of Mongolia at the Government Palace in Ulaanbaatar. Member institutions from across South and East Asia took stock of state of practice, strategic and programme trends as well as lessons and emerging issues on good governance in Asia. The specific themes for engagement were citizen engagement and social accountability; empowering women to engage politically at the local level; capacitating local governments; and citizen oversight of elections. The Government of Mongolia also facilitated exposure visits to urban and rural Public Service Delivery Centres, launched in the capital city and across all 21 aimags (provinces) in the country, building upon the One-Stop-Shop model for citizen-centric public service delivery.
